Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI--3.0, 1.7; HindIII--4.7; BamHI--4.7; PstI--4.7; SacI--4.7; AccI--3.6, 1.0. jun-D appears to be expressed at a higher constitutive level than c-jun or jun-B, and is activated only slightly by serum growth factors. The insert contains the following unique sites (in bp from the T7 promoter side [5']): BstEII--446; SfiI--572; AccI--654; FspI--916; HincII--1083; DraI--1487. Although there is no characteristic poly(A) signal, there is an AGTAAA sequence near the 3' end. There is also a single ATTTA element, multiple copies of which are associated with mRNA instability. |
