Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI--3.0, 1.65; BglII--4.65; HindIII--4.65; PvuII--2.45, 1.45, 0.75; PstI--3.7, 0.8, 0.15. The insert contains the following restriction sites (approximate kb from the 5' end): BglII--0.463; NcoI--0.65; PstI--0.14, 0.9; PvuII--0.44; SacI--0.9; XbaI--1.44. The first 120 bp of the insert do not match the corresponding sequences of the full-length cDNA and presumably represent cloning artifacts. Detects human transcripts of 4.0 and 3.2 kb. The 764 bp PstI fragment (derived from the open reading frame) has been used as a probe for the human and rat sequences. Encodes 387 aa (of 637 aa) at the carboxyl end of the protein, and includes 398 nt of 3' untranslated sequence. The portion of this clone derived from the cDNA therefore corresponds approximately to nt 845 - 2400 of the sequence record. |
