Melanin biosynthesis Accumulates (+)-scytalone and flaviolin Brown microsclerotia |
Morphology |
Colonies on potato dextrose agar are grey to olivaceous, powdery or felty. Conidiophores mostly unbranched, with one or few conidial scars, up to 50 μm long, 3-6 μm wide. Conidial chains profusely branched. Conidia obclavate to ellipsoidal, with a short, cylindrical beak, 23-56 x 8-17 μm, medium brown, rugulose with muriform septation, with a single scar at the tip, arising in mostly unbranched chains of ten or more. |
